Acteens Activator Mission Trip 2010
In July, Acteens and leaders from FBC Winfield went on a mission trip to west central Illinois. During this trip, the girls led a Vacation Bible School in Jacksonville, IL and a Backyard Bible Club in Beardstown, IL. This is another way that our church is involved in spreading the Gospel to others. You can see some photos from this trip by clicking

Deacon Election August 1, 2010
On August 1, 2010, at the close of the morning worship service, we will have our annual deacon election for men to serve a 3-year term as deacon. A resource list of the men in our church is available
here for your reference. The vote will be by secret ballot and you are encouraged to prayerfully make your selections for this important part of our ministry.
New Church Directory Scheduled
We are excited to announce that we are going to create a new pictorial directory of our church family. The directory will help us connect names to faces. It will be an ideal outreach tool and will capture the life of our church congregation.
Please participate! The difference between an average and great pictorial directory is PARTICIPATION. All we ask is that you have your picture taken by the professional photographer and meet with a Portrait Consultant at the church. For the next several weeks, we will be making appointments before and after our worship services and meetings at the church. Please sign up as soon as possible to get the best appointment to fit your schedule.

- Enter the church phone number in this format: 2054873257. Enter your family information and select a password.
- Click on one of the given photography dates in July or August and pick your appointment time. You will receive a confirmation email and a reminder 3 days prior to your appointment.
The scheduled dates for photography and portrait viewing are: July 21,22,23,24 and August 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. For weekday appointments the times are between 2:00 PM and 9:20 PM. Weekend appointments are from 9:30 AM to 5:10 PM.

New Childrens Church Area Opens February 14, 2010
Our children from grades k - 5 (and Pre-schoolers too) worshiped for the first time Sunday, February 14, 2010 in the brand new Childrens Church area that has been constructed especially for them. The new facility features modern audio and video equipment along with a new puppet stage and plenty of room for all the activities Ms. Mandy has in store for our children. We had over 80 kids in attendance on this special day. Ms Mandy would like to thank everyone who helped get the new worship area ready by volunteering time and giving money to help make it all come together. "We could not do the things we do for our children without so many willing hearts to serve Him," Ms. Mandy said.
After the morning worship service, the entire church body gathered in the new Children's Church area to dedicate the new facility.
