New Childrens Church Area Opens February 14, 3010
Our children from grades k - 5 (and Pre-schoolers too) worshipped for the first time Sunday, February 14, 2010 in the brand new Childrens Church area that has been constructed especially for them. The new facility features modern audio and video equipment along with a new puppet stage and plenty of room for all the activities Ms. Mandy has in store for our children. We had over 80 kids in attendance on this special day. Ms Mandy would like to thank everyone who helped get the new worship area ready by volunteering time and giving money to help make it all come together. "We could not do the things we do for our children without so many willing hearts to serve Him," Ms. Mandy said.
After the morning worship service, the entire church body gathered in the new Children's Church area to dedicate the new facility.
The Deeper Still Conference with Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur will be December 3 - 4, 2010 in Birmingham. There are only three of these events scheduled and tickets will sell very quickly. The church has purchased thirty tickets and they are for sale in the church office. These are on a first come, first served basis. A two-day ticket, which includes lunch on Saturday, costs $80. To reserve a ticket you must come by the church office and pay a $25 deposit by January 31st. The balance of $55 will be due by May 1st.
Hotel rooms will be additional. We have ten rooms reserved at the Sheraton which connects to the BJCC. Rooms have two double beds and are $130. Full payment on rooms is due October 1st but you need to go ahead and sign up that you would like one. Roommate arrangements and/or changes will be up to the individual and your party. No 'assignments' will be made by the church office.
