A Message From Our Pastor
Each week brings new excitement as we meet for Bible study and worship. Personalizing and internalizing the work of God as we leave the church buildings prepares us to engage our enemy, Satan, with the assurance of full and complete victory. These daily victories encourage us to be bold in our witness to the lost and unchurched. As a result, the Lord regularly adds to His church those who are being saved. What a joy to watch Him at work here at First Baptist Church.
Our church has a rich and blessed heritage beginning well over a century ago in 1889. Age wise we are an old church. However, we are very much in touch with our Lord today! We are a church on mission for Him, beginning here at home as well as in other parts of the world. Approximately twenty percent of our budget is directed to missions outside our local community. We also maintain a strong commitment to missions in our community.
Spiritual growth in the lives of all our members is of utmost importance to us here at First Baptist Church. We believe every Christian is called by God to be a vital part of the local church. We are constantly reminded that this growth in our Lord is a lifetime pursuit. We are committed to helping each person maximize his/her life in Christ.
It is a special delight to be a part of a loving fellowship of believers who understand their mission. God will bless all who become a part of this church as we grow in His likeness. I count it a privilege to work with God's people as I seek to be the Spirit controlled pastor of this dynamic church. Come and join us, as we become all God has called us to be.
