We love, because He first loved us.

KidZone (Childrens' Ministry)

Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 9:14

Shoeless Sunday is August 1, 2010

Our kids will be given an opportunity to help another child in our own community by coming barefoot to church on Sunday morning, August 1st. All children are encouraged to bring a pair of gently worn shoes to Children’s Church that will be donated to our local Christian Center of Concern. If you would like to purchase an inexpensive new pair of shoes to bring that would be gladly appreciated too. With a new school year beginning, many of us are cleaning out our kids’ closets and finding they have outgrown their shoes. As we discard them and purchase new ones with excitement, there are many families in our community who simply cannot afford to buy suitable shoes for their children. God has placed on my heart to encourage our kids to be compassionate, mission minded people with a heart to help those less fortunate and to answer God’s call to feed and clothe those who are in need. I feel the mission projects we participate in through Children’s Church and VBS are very well rounded and are teaching our children to be givers here at home and abroad. I never want our mission projects to feel like a burden on any family. I believe the Lord has led our hearts to projects that have been very achievable and affordable for our children to participate in. Thank you for your support with our efforts to give from what God has so generously enabled us to have.

In His Joy

Operation Christmas Child

If you haven't heard of Operation Christmas Child, or the Shoe box project you will love what you are going to hear and how our children are helping children all around the world with something as simple as a shoebox full of inexpensive items.

Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has been helping spread love and hope to hurting children. Children across the world receive a shoe box full of school supplies, toys, and hygiene items that touch their lives that are so often times full of despair from the daily poverty they endure. This ‘shoebox ministry’ doesn't just touch the life of the child who receives the shoe box, but yours too! What a feeling to know that we can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through a Christmas gift that will probably be the only gift a child will receive this Christmas.

By bringing items listed below, our church will be praying and packing hundreds of shoeboxes to be shipped throughout the globe by Samaritan’s Purse.  You can visit Samaritan's Purse for more information on this ministry. Watch the video below to see how this ministry shares with children who need to know of god's love.

Be sure to bring your items and drop them either in the red wagon Missions Area or the kids can drop their items in the well at the front of the sanctuary decorations.

Thank you for your support with this very worthwhile project!

New Childrens Church Area Opens February 14, 2010

Our children from grades k - 5 (and Pre-schoolers too) worshiped for the first time Sunday, February 14, 2010 in the brand new Childrens Church area that has been constructed especially for them. The new facility features modern audio and video equipment along with a new puppet stage and plenty of room for all the activities Ms. Mandy has in store for our children. We had over 80 kids in attendance on this special day. Ms Mandy would like to thank everyone who helped get the new worship area ready by volunteering time and giving money to help make it all come together. "We could not do the things we do for our children without so many willing hearts to serve Him," Ms. Mandy said.

After the morning worship service, the entire church body gathered in the new Children's Church area to dedicate the new facility.
