Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. ( I John 4:7 )
Welcome to the home page of First Baptist Church. We would love to have you join us for one of our Sunday or Mid-Week services. Our hope is that this site will help acquaint you with some of our programs and help you learn more about our ministries.
“R. W. Dale was preparing an Easter sermon when the truth of Christ’s physical resurrection burst in upon him with compelling power. ‘Christ is alive!’ he said aloud; ‘He is alive – alive!’ He began to walk about the room saying to himself, ‘Christ is living! Christ is living!’
Not only that following Easter Sunday, but for months afterward he exulted in the theme of the resurrected Christ. He even began the practice of having a resurrection hymn sung each Sunday morning just to remind the people that they were worshiping a living Christ.” (Wiersbe)
In order for a child to ride the bus from school to the church for children's choir practice, the church requires a signed permission slip to be on file for each child. If you would like for your child to participate in Children's Choir at Winfield First Baptist, please download a form below, complete and sign the form, then return it to Bro. Tim as soon as possible.
We want to resume a weekly children's choir ministry here at the church for children in grades 1-6.
There are many good reasons for having children's choir, but the biggest, most obvious one is to reach children with the gospel of Christ.
Learning to read music, play instruments, and work together with other children are all positive byproducts of a children's choir ministry as well. These are all important enough for us to make room for a ministry like this in our busy schedules. I'd like for you to consider and pray about this, and then fill out a short survey.
Have you felt discouraged, experienced fear, or been tempted to worry? The enemy of our soul has the ability to create giants in our lives that dwarf us and cause us to lose our perspective and our testimony of what we know is true.
The good news is that by turning to the immutable, undefeated, and all-powerful Word of God we have victory over these giants! God has not left us without weaponry to defeat these giants. Indeed we have the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17) at our disposal!
In Slaying the Giants in Your Life, Dr. David Jeremiah will share specific Scriptures for defeating each giant so that you can walk in victory as a follower of Christ.
